Female Biker Chased, Harassed By Two Men In Delhi’s Hauz Khas, Pushed Off Scooty
A 21-year-old woman has alleged that two unidentified men on a motorcycle chased and harassed her before allegedly hitting her scooty near Panchsheel Park Metro Station in South Delhi. The incident reportedly occurred around midnight during the intervening night of September 11 and 12, when she was travelling home after leaving work in Saket. Delhi Police has registered a case and is investigating the allegations.
Hauz Khas Incident Reported Near Panchsheel Metro Station
According to the woman’s complaint, she was riding her scooty towards Kalkaji when two men on a motorcycle allegedly began following her in the Hauz Khas area. She said the men passed remarks and teased her before continuing to follow her.
The woman reportedly tried to increase her speed and move away from the motorcycle. However, according to her account, the two men continued chasing her and eventually came alongside her scooty near Panchsheel Park Metro Station.
Biker Stalked and Allegedly Forced Off Scooty
The woman alleged that the motorcycle-borne men struck or pushed her scooty with their bike. She subsequently lost control of the vehicle and fell onto the road.

Reports citing her complaint said she skidded for approximately 100 to 150 metres. The road reportedly had stones, gravel, dust and other debris, resulting in injuries to her face, arms and legs. Two men travelling on another scooter reportedly stopped and helped her after the incident.
The incident has drawn attention because what was initially reported to police as a possible road accident was later followed by a formal complaint alleging stalking, harassment and an intentional attack involving the motorcycle.
Female Biker Harassment Leaves Woman Injured
The woman was initially taken to Max Hospital in Saket, according to police and media reports. She was subsequently treated at another hospital and later travelled to Kanpur, where her extended family lives, for further treatment.
Reports state that she suffered significant injuries to her arms, legs and face. One account said she had been advised extended bed rest because of a foot injury. The precise medical condition and treatment plan may change as she recovers.
Police Begin Probe Into Delhi Crime Allegations
Delhi Police received a PCR call at around 1 am on September 12 after the incident. Officers who reached the location found that the woman had already been taken to hospital.
A formal complaint was subsequently submitted on September 15 through a lawyer representing the woman. Police then registered a case against unidentified persons and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Anant Mittal said investigators were working to establish the complete sequence of events. Police have also examined available CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
CCTV Footage Being Examined
One of the challenges facing investigators is identifying the woman and the alleged suspects in available surveillance footage. Police said footage from the area was examined, but the woman and the accused men could not initially be identified in the material reviewed.
According to police, the woman’s cousin also visited the police station and was shown available CCTV footage on September 14. She reportedly could not identify the woman or the alleged suspects from the footage. Investigators are continuing efforts to verify the sequence of events.
Night Safety Concerns After Scooty Attack
The Hauz Khas incident has once again brought attention to night safety for women travelling alone on Delhi-NCR roads. The allegation that a female rider was followed for some distance before losing control of her scooty has also renewed discussion about road harassment and the safety of women commuters.
While the allegations are under investigation, commuters travelling late at night are generally advised to remain aware of their surroundings, avoid isolated stretches where possible, keep emergency contacts readily available and seek help from nearby people or authorities if they feel threatened.

The identities of the two men remain unknown, according to the latest reports, and police are continuing their investigation. The authorities are attempting to verify the woman’s account, establish exactly what happened on the road and identify the motorcycle-borne suspects.
The Hauz Khas case highlights the importance of establishing facts through evidence while ensuring that complaints of harassment and attacks on women are properly investigated. As the police inquiry continues, further details may emerge regarding the alleged stalking, the scooty attack and the identities of those involved.
