The raid has given another chance to the Congress to attack BJP. The opposition has stated that the raids proved their allegations of corruption and commission charges. Assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka this year. In such a scenario, getting so much cash from the house of a BJP MLA’s son can give the opposition an opportunity to attack the government.

A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been filed by the Lokayukta and an investigation will be carried out. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s statement has come to light in this case of immense wealth found in the house of a BJP MLA’s son in Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru. He has assured that a fair and independent investigation would be conducted into the matter as they aim to penalize the criminals. The Lokayukta has complete information about whose money it is and where it came from.
