The World Laughter Day was started on 1998 and the first celebration was on 10 May 1998, in Mumbai, India, arranged by Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the global Laughter Yoga movement. In 1998, World Laughter Day became officially a thing when Mr. Madan Kataria, the founder of Universal Laughter Yoga movement, laid down the ground for it.
