Aditi Rao Hydari Reflects on Resilience Amid Role Challenges: From Rockstar to Heeramandi

Aditi Rao Hydari who is known for her outstanding acting, has spoken about her experiences on screen, particularly her profound revelation about her character in the film, Rockstar, where Ranbir Kapoor played the lead role. Despite setbacks, she continues to shine, her resilience evident in her recent success with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.

Recalling her entry into the industry, Hydari shared with us her part in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, during which she felt deflated because her role was cut down. “In my first movie as Rockstar I was new, and you know you was trying to be someone you is not,” she added. “I was also down at that time.  Nevertheless, I think they mean well and they had made such an action for certain reasons.  ”

She is enthusiastic about her journey and when she reflects on the smaller roles she played she is aware that she leaves a dent. She proclaimed: “Even though somewhere in my naïve world, I didn’t make a wrong decision at that time. “”It doesn’t matter that I have only a small part in the film; what matters is that people still remember me. ”

Hydari’s distinctions between the types of roles and the degree of trust towards directors are reflected in her notion of screen time. “Still, after that I kept on thinking like a 5-year-old,” she said. “But lo and behold, I have played cameos still not realizing the fact that it is just only 20 minutes against two hours film because I know this role is done and I just completely trust my director. ”

The future of Hydari is very bright and she will definitely be able to captivate the listeners with the upcoming projects.
