The incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed that he was extremely sad because he had lost his old partner and friend, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Sushil Kumar Modi’s contribution to BJP’s rise in Bihar exemplifies his steadfast commitment to public service, as the Prime Minister aptly appreciated his mighty efforts. From the time of his student politics to his vital role in passing GST, Sushil Kumar Modi’s role will remain all through the time.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah put forth the same notion by acknowledging Sushil Kumar Modi as a youth wing leader during his student days, and one of the Bihar politics backbone. Shah highlighted Modi’s vision of inclusivity whereby the less fortunate were not left behind to fill that void.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a close aide of Sushil Modi, expressed his sorrow for his country losing a true friend and a leader who was highly dedicated. Rhe Harijan newspaper published an obituary in which Modi was recognized as a leading figure of the JP movement and his death was mourned.
However, leaders like Tejashwi Yadav, from both parties, were not behind as well, they paid tribute to Sushil Kumar Modi, regarding him as a guide and Bihar’s devoted servant.

The exit of Sushil Kumar Modi from Bihar politics brings an end to an era in this state. The void created by his departure will surely be noticed by not only his BJP party but also the people of Bihar who were his loyal voters.
