GTA 6 will be released in fall 2025
Gamers have been anticipating the arrival of the newest Grand Theft Auto (GTA) game for over ten years. The first trailer for Rockstar’s next game GTA 6 was released in December of last year. It shattered multiple records and became the most viewed video in a single day. The game’s 2025 release date was also verified by the trailer.

Nevertheless, a number of rumors following the teaser indicated that Rockstar may postpone the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 until 2026. Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has now refuted rumors of additional delays and revealed GTA 6’s release date during its Q4 2024 conference call.
Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two, reportedly stated, “Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI,” according to a recent article by The Verge. “We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025,” he added in an interview with IGN.

Additionally, he stated that since its official debut in 2013, the hugely successful GTA V has sold over 200 million copies globally. Along with that, it is currently the second-best-selling game, behind Minecraft, which has sold over 300 million copies. At debut, GTA 6 will only be compatible with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S; the PC version’s release date is still pending. In addition to Vice City, a fictitious version of Miami, it is situated in the state of Leonida.
