The head of Catholic faith, and also head of state of Vatican, Pope Francis arrived in Central African Republic, a former French colony today.
It is to be noted here that this African nation has been torn by religious strife between Christians who form a majority, and Muslims who are in a minority, for a very long time.
The Pope intends to deliver a message of peace and, and hopes to bring reconciliation between the warring factions, which have torn this tiny nation apart, killed thousands, and rendered hundreds of thousands homeless.
Interestingly, his visit has been welcomed not only by Christians, but Muslims of Central African Republic too.
