The conference is being held to set landmarks for improvement of global climate, and to set steps to be taken to tackle this in a meaningful manner.

Among the leaders participating in the conference are US President Barak Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Both Modi and Obama are slated to meet each other on Nov.30, the day the conference begins, for a few moments of private discussion, not only regarding climate improvement, but also on tackling terror, trade, defence, and other issues.

It is noteworthy that this will be the 7th meeting between Modi and Obama since Modi became India’s Prime Minister in 2014.
