Today Google doodle is honoring Lucy Australopithecus; she was from the species that shared both human and ape characteristics. It marked the 41 years of a skeleton that was found in Ethiopia and helped scientists to understand the evolution of apes into human beings.
The Doodle today shows an Australopithecus walking between a human being and an ape, marking the transition between the two species.
According to a report, almost 40 percent of Lucy’s skeleton remained intact and that helped scientists to study the minute details about her body and structure.
