National Tennis Week is an annual tennis promotion week that is held in the United States of America during the fourth full week of June every year. President Gerald R. Ford founded this week-long event in 1976 and ever since then it has been used to invite all the people regardless of their ages and abilities to join a racket and hit the court and enjoy the many physical and mental advantages tennis has to offer. Although May has a similar thing to celebrate called the National Tennis Month, the National Tennis Week is particularly focusing on a specific week in June and makes the message louder.

The main objective of National Tennis Week is to bring up the tennis activity in the country. It intends to target fresh and get the non-players into the sport, reconnect with inactive fan base and motivate the current fans to play the game more often. The week puts a focus on tennis as an entertaining, healthful and sociable game which can be played by people, families and communities.
