Amazon India joins hands with FDCI

 

amazon.in to be sponsored the India Fashion Week Autumn/ Winter 2015

 

In it’s fifteenth year and 25th edition of showcase, FDCI, has joined hands with Amazon India as the main sponsor for the India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2015 show to be held in March this year.

Amazon India is the third sponsor in all these years taking it’s succession from Wills Lifestyle and Lakme India. Whereas Lakme had separated to start a fashion week on it’s own, Wills Lifestyle has opened it’s fashion stores across the nation selling high end latest fashion garments and accessories from the various fashion designers that it got associated with over all these years, while hosting the India Fashion Week.

Vikas Purohit, Head, Fashion, Amazon India says on the launch, ” We are not even twenty four months old and we are happy to be here. Our sole aim is to be earth’s most customer oriented company. We have a vision to take Indian designers global. And as someone rightly said, the next Armani is going to be from India and this is what we are exactly hoping for!”

FDCI Designer, Niket Misra says” I think amalgamation of amazon online with FDCI will make tremendous difference of online fashion of designer wear ,as today world’s is online. As designer wear can be captured in remote area as amazon covered area which are unseen.”

 

Aashima Batra, fashion blogger of hauteforever.com says, ” pretty good to know about amazon India being the new sponsors for IFW…will surely benefit the Indian fashion bloggers..and online media will be given more importance for sure.

 

The fashion week shall be called Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) and will be held from 25th-29th Match at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, it’s regular venue for last few years.

Its truly epic and historic in a way because i think the Indian Fashion Design Council and all the designers of the FDCI have partnered with really the biggest and one of the most widely accepted e-commerce retails giant in India and all over the world. And its a great platform for Indian Designers to sell at and partner with Amazon. And I think Amazon gets the best deal because they will be directly working with all the best designers of India”
