Apple’s Official Stores Open in India after sales hit new high and Tim Cook begins local retail push
Apple Inc’s total India sales touched almost $6 billion, in the financial year that ended in March 2023, according to the Bloomberg report.
With this, the tech giant’s revenue increased by nearly 50 per cent in India from $4.1 billion a year earlier, as per the source quoted
The information comes at a time when Tim Cook (Apple CEO) was in India to inaugurate two luxurious stores – one in Aamchi Mumbai and the other in the National Capital Delhi – as part of the iPhone maker’s big retail push in the country.

It is a huge achievement for Apple, as it has been ramping up its operations since 2017 in India. It also says how the Cupertino, California-based technology giant has been enhancing its share of sales in the nation’s premium devices market.
Apple is said to post its quarterly earnings in starting week of May 2023
On one side, where the demand for technology is slowing down in the majority of the global markets, India presents Apple with an attractive opportunity. The world’s most valuable mobile tech has finally realized the importance of the Indian market and is also ramping up local production to make the most of the opportunity.
With the opening of the local stores in Mumbai and Delhi, experts say that it will provide a boost to the sale of Apple products in India.
Also, it was observed that the sales of iPhones and iPads surged during the pandemic as users bought them for work and study from home and gradually, the sales momentum increased, with the help of cheaper online deals and easy financing options.
