El Nino transmits diseases like cholera: study

A study published in the journal Natural Microbiology revealed the consequences of El Nino transmitting cholera and other water –borne diseases through bacteria that proliferates in seawater.

El Nino is a climate cycle that originates along the tropical west coast of South America every 3-7 years.

The breed of bacterias like vibros, common bacterias has capability to attach to larger organisms to travel oceans.

An international team of researchers discovered that whenever the warm waves of El Nino strike the land, they cause water borne diseases in Latin America.

El Nino has serious implications on local weather, fisheries and inducing higher risks for meteorological events, and the transmitting of water borne diseases currently poses a serious health concern in South America and an urgent call for health campaigns.
