What Gujratis do not have in Ice Cream!

The Indian state, Gujarat is the largest consumer of ice cream. Spiced Ice cream in beetle leaf – taken after meals for digestion, Black pepper in ice cream – adds up strong flavour plus it saves from cough, ball of nut-sprinkled ice-cream covered in laddu – popular sugary sweet of India, fresh ginger or cardamom as add on freezed treat.

If these varieties will not make us feel crave what else on earth will they do! A food enthusiast mentions “Anywhere else in the world, these may sound outrageous. But these varieties are eye popping for its unique blend of ingredients.”

Gujarati beetle leaf ice cream

Gujarat’s another name is India’s ice cream country. The state eats 12 percent of country’s $1.3bn ice cream.

Mr. Samnani told “People here want new kinds of ice creams all the time”. “My life is incomplete without ice cream,” says stock broker Tapan Patel. Even pets there are fed by Spitz vanilla ice cream.
