Remembering the Jallianwallah Massacre that shook India

13th April, 1919, who would have thought that this day will become the day of bloodbath for Indians. Jallianwallah Bagh, also known as the Amritsar Massacre was one of the worst massacres committed on the grounds of India by the British.

Many people had gathered in the Bagh for the celebration of Baisakhi and this was the time that the British
soldiers open fired on the crowd and closed all the doors to exit.

This was done under the order of Colonel Reginald Dyer. The numbers for the number of people killed are different from different sources. But, nevertheless deaths in huge amounts did take place.

Remembering the Massacre today, our heart goes out for all the people, who lost their lives because of that.
