Rajnath Singh to hold meeting in Jaisalmer to discuss security:- Rajnath Singh, the Union Home Minister will begin his two-day visit to Jaisalmer, on Friday in order to review the security situation along with the India-Pakistan border with the Chief Ministers of some states.
According to reports, the review meeting at the Border Security Force`s Sector headquarters (North) will also be attended by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Besides all these CMs, top Border Security Force officers and some senior officials of the state governments of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab will also mark their presence.
Rajnath Singh will tour border areas of Rajasthan and also the border outposts in order to assess the situation along the border.

Another meeting with the BSF
The Home Minster will also be holding a separate meeting with the BSF officials in Barmer tomorrow.
Out of 2289.66 km of Indo-Pakistan Border (IPB), 2034.96 km has been covered by some physical barriers, including the fencing, and the remaining 254.80 km of the border has been further planned to be covered by physical and non-physical barriers shortly.
Moreover, in this stretch, it is also proposed to deploy technology solutions, which includes the deployment of cameras, radars, sensors, lasers, etc.
The BSF is also testing the available technologies through its pilot projects in the Jammu region, Gujarat and Punjab
The paramilitary force is also in the process of a rollout of a Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) for this stretch of IPB, which is still due to be undertaken in a year`s time.
The Indian side of this IPB, which is 3,323-km-long, passes through the states of Gujarat (508 km), Rajasthan (1,037 km), Punjab (553 km) and Jammu and Kashmir (1,225 km).
Out of the 3,323-km border with Pakistan, about 2,289.66 km of the International Border (IB) is under the operational control of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Apart from the IB, there is also a Line of Control (LoC), which is under the operational control of the Ministry of Defence.
