Jaya lalithaa , the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Thursday announced free bus travel for the senior citizens in Chennai metropolitan. The law would come in effect from February 24th on the occasion of her 68th birthday.
With this announcement, she asserted that the party has fulfilled all its electoral promises, which the party made in year 2011.
Under the plan elderly people above the age of 60 would be able to travel free of cost in the bus. The beneficiaries would be given ten tokens per month they could handover it to conductor and travel free of cost.
