Kunwar Bai a 105 year old woman, who was felicitated by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for building up toilets by selling off her goats, has been selected as the mascot for the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. Prime Minister Modi will be felicitating Kunwar Bai at a function which will be held in Delhi to mark the `Swachhta Diwas’ on September 17.

Earlier in February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had touched her feet amid a rally in the Rajnandgaon. PM Modi was there in Chhattisgarh to launch the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban (rural-urban) Mission, he felicitated Kunwar Bai from Kotabharri village of Dhamtari and then for seeking blessings, touched her feet.
Kunwar Bai sold-off her 8-10 goats in order to build two toilets in her home, and then she started showing them to other villagers while informing them about its importance.
