World Food Day 2022: 5 groups Who Understand Food Is a Luxury

This World Food Day 2022, understand food’s importance and pledge not to waste it.

World Food Day 2022: World Food Day is celebrated every 16th October to mark the anniversary of the founding of FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and to promote global awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and the need to ensure healthy diets for all.

We Indians have a particular liking for food. We love to eat as well as feed others. That’s why we ensure that the food stock is a little extra at every function or party. Most of the time, after many suppers, we often end up with a lot of leftover food. While some of it is packed for relatives and friends, most go to waste. Usually, once the big party is over, we wonder what to do with the food.

Well, for a change, let’s not waste the food. It takes a lot to produce it. You might not understand the value of these foods, but spend a day at the farm with a farmer, and you will know what goes behind your delicious food at the dining table. There are groups and NGOs who can take the excess food and distribute it among the underprivileged.
