8th of August is celebrated as International Cat Day, initiated by the International Fund for Animal Welfare in 2002. While these furry cuties make great pets, not all of them get along with dogs. So, which are the most friendly cat breeds that also bond well with dogs-

Ragdoll cat

Rag dolls are known for being gentle creatures. They love being with people and are more likely to share space with or be in the presence of dogs.

Maine Coon

Maine Coon are extremely sociable and friendly. They can easily get along with other pets because they are playful and have a very laid back demeanour.

Abyssinian

Abyssinian cats are playful and active and enjoy interacting with other pets. They are very curious and this curiosity helps them also make a relationship with dogs.

Birman Cat 

Birman is a breed that can easily adapt to any environment and also forms very strong bonds with humans and dogs alike. 

Burmese cats

They are extremely sociable and love being part of a family. They can form strong bonds with dogs and like to stay in family settings. 

Scottish Fold

Siberian Cats

They are known for being outgoing, and their sociable nature makes them a good dog companion.
