Spy Leak: Jyoti Malhotra Shared Blackout Details with Pakistan’s Danish
The case involving Jyoti Malhotra is part of a larger, suspected Pakistan-backed spy network operating across North India.
Jyoti Malhotra Leaked Op Sindoor Info, Linked to Pakistan, Danish
According to updates in Indian media, YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested over allegations of passing onto Chinese officials secretive information about India. She is believed to have given Pakistan’s spy agency details about communication blackouts. The investigation has found that she regularly spoke to some handlers, including a Pakistani High Commission official named Ehsan-ur-Rahim, who was alias Danish. According to the report, the communications reached a peak as “Operation Sindoor” began.
Indian forces launched Operation Sindoor in 2025, following the terror attack in Pahalgam during which 26 civilians, mainly Indians and a Nepali tourist, were killed on April 22, 2025. The operation which started on May 7, 2025, included a series of accurate air and missile attacks against nine terror-related facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. At this delicate time, authorities allegedly turned off mobile networks and internet connections in some Northern Indian areas to avoid security issues. At the time of these shutdowns, Malhotra is suspected to have reached out to her Pakistani contact which made officials suspect this was to evade being observed.
Reports say Malhotra got into trouble because of her alleged involvement with Danish. In 2023, she is claimed to have met him at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi while trying to get a visa to visit Pakistan. It seems that lasting contact followed and sources suggest Danish was engaged in actively developing her. Just a few days before Malhotra was arrested, Danish was sent back to Denmark from India on May 13 for acts not in line with his diplomatic role.
While under interrogation, Malhotra has supposedly confessed to being in contact with agents of Pakistani intelligence. Alarmingly, sources indicate she has shown no remorse for her purported actions, averring she thought she was acting within established parameters.
Investigators are methodically searching her all electronic devices, including her mobile phones and laptop for forensic analysis. Investigators are also looking into Malhotra’s financial documents and her travel history; the latter is our special interest, Malhotra had traveled to Pakistan, China, Dubai, Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Indonesia. Investigators don’t think her known income is consistent with this level of international travel, which raises potential questions about international funding. Police recovered her personal diary, which may prove useful; excerpts hint deliciously at her experiences in Pakistan and could guide investigators toward her contacts and purported activities.

The investigation has led to the arrest of several individuals as well in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. This signifies the possible indication of a larger attempt to jeopardize India’s national security. The agencies are also looking into Malhotra’s social media presence. It appears that she was promoting and espousing pro-Pakistan themes in different online performances. Officials remarked that this is a new kind of “modern warfare,” and to illustrate, the presumption is that social media influencers are drafted to support targeted narratives, while simultaneously collecting sensitive information, which complicates understandings of the boundaries between content and intelligence.
