Raghuvanshi Case Update: Sonam Held in Connection with Raja Raghuvanshi’s Murder
Raja Raghuvanshi Case Update : Kashi Dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur main road is where Indore resident Sonam Raghuvanshi was arrested on Monday according to Ghazipur superintendent of police Iraz Raja. She is accused of planning the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon.
Medical Aid and Denial of Charges
After receiving treatment at Sadar Hospital Sonam Raghuvanshi 24 was placed in a one-stop center that offers medical and legal aid to women in need.
Employees at the Ghazipur one-stop center informed that Sonam has denied the murder charges.
A staff member who asked to remain anonymous stated She claimed she was abducted and that she did not kill anyone after she woke up later in the afternoon.
Support from Sonam’s Family
Her loved ones stood up for her. My daughter is a good girl. I believe in my daughter. She can’t murder her husband. The two families agreed to their marriage. Last night my daughter went to a dhaba in Ghazipur and called her brother. Devi Singh Raghuvanshi her father stated that she was taken from the dhaba after police arrived.
Police Allegations and Murder Plot
I Nongrang the director general of police for Meghalaya claimed that Sonam planned the murder of her husband in the picturesque northeastern town of Sohra. He also disclosed the specifics of the horrifying crime that led to a manhunt in three different states.
Arrests of Alleged Accomplices
After three attackers Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) Akash Rajput (19) and Vishal Singh Chauhan (22) were apprehended in overnight raids Raja Raghuvanshi went missing and eventually turned herself in at the Nandganj police station in Ghazipur Uttar Pradesh where she was killed by men allegedly hired by Sonam.
Locations and Origins of the Accused
A Rajput from Lalitpur Uttar Pradesh was the first person taken into custody. The second was Chauhan who was from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem stated at a press conference in Shillong that the third was Kushwaha who was also from Indore.

Legal Transfer and Ongoing Investigation
Around 6:30 p. m. Sonam was arrested by the Meghalaya Police and authorities said that the legal process for her transfer to the northeastern state is currently in progress.
A district court in Indore sent the three people arrested in MP on a seven-day transit remand to Meghalaya they said.
Discovery of Raja Raghuvanshi’s Body
In the East Khasi Hills district Raja Raghuvanshi was discovered dead in a gorge close to Weisawdong Falls on June 2 ten days after the couple vanished.

Timeline of Disappearance
After getting married on May 11 in Indore Raja and Sonam spent their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Hours after leaving a homestay in Nongriat village 20 kilometers from the location where his body was discovered they vanished on May 23.
Clues Recovered from the Crime Scene
A unique tattoo on Raja’s right hand allowed his family to identify the body. At the location a smartwatch, a portion of a mobile phone’s LCD screen, a womens white shirt and a medication strip were also confiscated.
