Exclusive – Several hospitals in Delhi receive bomb threat

Four Delhi hospitals, received bomb threat emails on Tuesday, two days after similar messages were sent to 20 hospitals, the airport and the office of the Northern Railways' CPRO in the capital.

On Tuesday, the emails of  bomb threat were received at the DCB Hospital, the Dada Dev Hospital and the Hedgewar Hospital, in Delhi, two days after such messages had been sent to 20 hospitals, the airport and the office of the Northern Railway CPRO in Delhi. The officials said the sender called Delhi Police’s Special Cell and said that the emails flew from Delhi City. All specifics reported so far are not suspicious. Accuracy and precision are guaranteed.

Delhi Fire Service (DSF) authorities informed that they had been receiving string of bomb threat emails from these four hospitals. Such specialized agencies as military experts in ordnance, bomb detection team, fire department and local police were brought to the site, and the searches were instantly started, it has been reported. The spike of calls to the crisis center started at 10 p. m. , according to a crisis center executive.

The first hospital that recieved threat call was Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital of northern Delhi area of Ashok Vihar at 9.45am. The second phone call  came at 10.55 am from Dada Hospital in Dabri on 13, Dabri in west Delhi, the third one at 11. 01 am from Hedgewar Hospital in east Delhi’ Farsh Bazar and the fourth call at 11 .12 am from GTB Hospital in Shahdara which is again on eastern side of Delhi.

Police along with the bomb squad are conducting thorough verification. We also conducted two random checks, however, nothing suspicious has happened so far”, said Mr. Shramji who is the security officer at Hedgewar Hospital

A doctor a the hospital got a message of carrying the bomb into the hospital, he verbalized. This is fourth in the last month when people living or studying in different parts of a country have been warned.

The said incident came on Wednesday (December 29) in the wake of a couple of governmental facilities in Delhi, especially Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and indiscriminately green half a dozen government hospitals, is being threatened through e-mails.

As revealed by Delhi Police, the email threat came from unverified platform on May 12 and it was all aimed at Delhi’s IGI Airport. The sender had mentioned about pasting the explosive inside the campus.
