Good News: Neeraj Chopra becomes 1st Indian to win a Diamond League Meet

India’s pride Neeraj Chopra scripted history as he became the 1st Indian to win a Diamond League Meet and also grab the top spot at Lausanne Diamond League with the best throw of 89.08m.

He earned the qualification for Diamond League Final and also the 2023 World Championships. He has taken the fourth spot in the Diamond League points table with 7 points.

Khush Khabri: India overtakes China to become 2nd largest smartwatch market in Q2 2022

Make in India is yet again showing its success in leaving China behind. According to a Counterpoint Research report, India emerged as the world’s 2nd largest smartwatch market in the 2nd quarter of 2022.

India’s smartwatch market went up 347% yearly (YoY) to grab the 2nd spot.

Good News: India’s 1st indigenously developed monkeypox test kit gets launched

Make in India in the medical sector adds more strength to its wings as the 1st indigenously developed RT-PCR kit for testing monkeypox got unveiled at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ).

As per the report, this kit is highly sensitive and enables an easy-to-use test with a uniquely formulated primer and probe for enhanced accuracy. It is expected to help in early detection and better infection management.

Khush Khabri: Linthoi Chanambam wins historic gold at world cadet judo championship

The 15-year-old Linthoi Chanambam brought immense joy to the nation as she became the 1st Indian to win a medal in the World Cadet Judo Championship across any age group.

She outplayed Brazil’s Bianca Reis to register a victory in the women’s 57kg contest in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Previously she clinched a gold in the Asian Cadet & Junior Judo Championship 2022 in Bangkok. She had also bagged a gold medal in the 63kg category of the cadet event.

Good News: India wins bronze in Asian Men’s U-18 Volleyball Championship 2022 after 14 years

India has clinched the bronze medal at Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship 2022. India bagged its 1st medal in 14 years after defeating South Korea in a tiebreaker of the 3rd place playoff.

 In addition, the Indian U-18 team qualified for the FIVB World U-19 Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Khush Khabri: India bags 5 medals at the 15th International Olympiad on Astronomy, Astrophysics

The 15th International Olympiad on Astronomy & Astrophysics (IOAA) 2022 was held in Georgia from August 14 to 21, 2022. The IOAA aims to promote the growing interest of students in Astronomy and related STEM subjects.

209 students from 37 main and six guest teams participated in this year’s IOAA. The Indian contingent bagged three gold medals and two silver medals.

Good News: Pramod Bhagat & Deep Ranjan Bisoyee Clinch 4 medals

It is a big day for India at the Thailand Para-Badminton International 2022, as Pramod Bhagat and Deep Ranjan Bisoyee won a total of 4 medals. Pramod won gold in Men’s Single & Bronze in Mixed Doubles, and Deep Ranjan Bisoyee won bronze in Men’s Double.

Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam bagged the gold after outplayed Indonesia’s Dwiyoko and Fredy Setiawan.
