Website for Ghaziabad citizens

A website was launched by Vijay Kumar Singh, MP from Ghaziabad, in the last week of June, to stay in touch with the people of his constituency. This move has been carried out to increase transparency and also to bridge the gap between the people and the government. People can now post their suggestions and complaints on this website. The focus will remain on solving the issues prevalent in the area and that have been neglected so far.

A conference for the same was held on the day it was launched (30th June). V.K Singh made special reference to the youth while launching the website. Today, when the youth is easily attracted to the technology driven world, a website to enable them to raise their voice is surely a step in the positive direction.

“The idea sounds interesting and promising. Firstly, I am going to post about the electricity crunches that we face every day! However, the senior citizens might find it a bit difficult because obviously they are not culpable to the internet and working of the computer. But, let’s see how it goes. This is a good move and I hope it will bring in a good change,” stated Kashish Vikram, a 19 year old student from Ghaziabad.

The website, www.eloksabhagzb.com, will help connect the people of the area to the ruling party. The website will be closely watched by the former Chief of Indian Army.

“These websites will not do anything. We will post complaints but taking action is more important which I know will not happen. I have been living here since my childhood and the problems have been the same. Parties come and go. These steps are just to fool the citizens,” said Ramesh Sethi, a 46 year old service man who seemed not at all interested in this new move taken by the NDA government.

The website has received mixed reactions from the public. Where some seem interested in posting their complaints which mainly comprise of the youth, there are also people who seem neutral towards the step and some even negative.

“We had a presentation in school regarding all what we can do through this website. I am very excited about it. We can keep in touch with the MP of our area!

The idea in itself is interesting,” expressed Rahul Bindal, a tenth grade student from Dehradun Public School, Ghaziabad.

The main agenda of developing this website is to make the system easy and ensure that the voice of the people gets heard. This will also enable the government to solve the problems of the area with much more efficiency.
