According to a report, the Uttarakhand government has decided to go ahead with admissions in medical colleges via NEET only.
The Principal Secretary of Health Om Prakash while announcing the decision said that it was taken keeping in mind the larger interest of students.

Notably, the centre had earlier bought in an ordinance earlier this week to let the state governments bypass NEET.
Over 430 seats are likely to be filled through NEET in the state. The officials said online counseling will begin after CBSE will release the merit list for state –based quota on NEET results.
