The Indian Panorama Film Festival
The Indian Panorama Film Festival 2015, is being hosted for the third consecutive period at Shillong, Meghalaya. It presents a festival of success and participation of the best of contemporary Indian Cinema produced in different languages with a view to promoting quality cinema from different parts of the country.

The film festival is being organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya. The festival was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma in the presence of I&B Secretary Shri. Bimal Julka at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.

Shri. Bimal Julka said it will showcase 9 films, 3 non- featured films in nine different languages.
Khmih serenading to the Audience
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya said it is a humble event with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is a privilege to enable Shillong, Meghalaya as a talent rich destination for filmmaking and also a showcase of this year festival’s panoramic transformation beauty at the U Soso Tham Auditorium. A showcase of the beauty and the talent of the state has and needs to be explored.

The festival was not just a showcase of the opening Marathi feature film, ‘Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – The Real Hero’ directed by Ms. Samruoddhi Porey. The audience was serenaded with performances of Khmih, cultural performaces by Gitanjali Dance Academy and many more. It had vibrant song and dance sequences to connect to filmmaking. “It was a connection of the diversity of communities not just in Shillong but across borders” As mention by the Chief Mininster, Dr. Sangma.
The venue transform into bollywood gala
The Mininster of Information of State Mr. Hek said that he was grateful to continue the trend to broaden horizon for movie lovers and filmmakers. Over the next three days other feature films which will be screened during the festival are ‘Drishyam’ (Malayalam), ‘December 1’ (Kannada), ‘Kuttram Kadithal (Tamil), ‘Ankhon Dekhi’ (Hindi), ‘Othello’ (Assamese), ‘Ri’ (Khasi), ‘Teenkahon’ (Bengali) and ‘Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona’ (Bengali). The Non-feature films to be screened during the festival are ‘Songs of the Blue Hills’ (Nagamese/English), ‘A Dream Never Dies’ (Assamese) and ‘Ek Hota Kau’ (Marathi).
