In the Season finale to PKL, Mumba U of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India defeated Bangaluru Bulls 36-30. The team won the First Prize of Indian Rupees 10 million.
Bengaluru Bulls of Bangaluru, Karnataka got the First Runner Up prize of Indian Rupees 5 Million.
In a tough competition between true PKL ‘titans’, the teams played to a jam packed stadium at Mumbai’s National Sports Club of India near Haji Ali at Worli.
Kabaddi is the National sports of India, but was relegated to the ‘nth’ position after cricket, tennis, soccer, badminton, and what have you. Thanks to Pro Kabaddi League, a renewed interest has been created in a sport which requires tremendous strength, agility and lung power.
