Idle ONGC Gas field gives Reliance Rs 11 Thou. cr bonanza

Reliance Industries Ltd., and Government of India owned ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Coroporation) are next door neighbors in the bay of Bengal through their adjoining gas fields.
The ONGC owned KG-DWON-98/2 and Godavari Producing Mining Lease are adjacent to Dhirubhai-1 and 3 of Reliance.
While the Reliance fields are active, the ONGC ones are sluggish. This has resulted in a underground migration of natural gas to the wells of Reliance, transferring approximately Rs.11 thousand worth from the ONGC wells. This is according to a report compiled by US based consultant DeGolyer and MacNaughton recently.
It may be noted that ONGC is still finalising their investment plans for the area, while Reliance began production way back in 2009 itself.
