End of the Biggest Rivalry

“Achhe din aane wale hai” a new wave created by Narendra Modi would help our countrymen to what extent, is yet to be decided but it has indeed brought a new wave of governmental change in Bihar. Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Janta Dal United (JD-U) leader Nitish Kumar have come together after two decades along with congress to lead the campaign for Assembly by-polls in the state, Bihar. This is what politics is, playing on the safer side and playing without rules, it has happened again as after 20 years the most famous rivals hugged together in Hajipur, Bihar. “We have joined hands not for the sake of power but to save the society and the country, which is under threat from forces out to create division on communal lines in the society,” Nitish Kumar said addressing the rally.

After crushing defeat in the general elections, Nitish Kumar had quit as the Chief Minister of Bihar in May this year. On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party won 31 of the state’s 40 seats.

“India has slipped into dangerous hands. The BJP after coming to power has tried to divide the society to stay in power. We will not allow the saffron outfit to divide the nation. This is why, I and Lalu ji have joined hands,” said Kumar.

“Grand alliance in Bihar has sent a positive message across the country. India has gone into the hands of wrong people and the primary need is to liberate it from them,” Lalu said.

Clearly, this union is a threat for NDA government which got 38.8% in the Lok Sabha election, whereas, the alliance got the 44.3% vote.

We went out to know what the general public thinks about this alliance…

Mr. Thakur a Lawyer in Bihar Muzaffarpur says “We don’t see any fruitful collaboration in this. This is all propaganda to gain votes.”

“No common people ever get benefited by these acts. Bihar’s condition will remain same like before,” Mr. Prassan Jha a UPSE aspirant says.

By the reaction of people we can clearly figure out that no one is happy with this unity as they don’t have any trust on the political parties, what they care about is only results.

Let’s wait and watch what this unity can do for the future of Bihar.
