Excerpts from an interview:
Tell us about the background?
I was born and grew up in Lebanon. After doing diploma in fashion designing from Paris I had opened my first store in Beirut in 1997. After showing my collection in Paris fashion week opened my dream store in Paris in 2007

Though shuttling between Paris and Lebanon you still keep Beirut as your head quarter?
I love my country, and by sitting in Beirut, I was able to become an international designer. What matters is your work. I grew up gradually from one collection to another from one fashion show to another and from one celebrity to another. It is a long journey.
Tell about the “naked dress” which is worn by celebrities including our own Priyanka Chopra?
Nothing special about it. My intention is to show the natural curve and shape of the woman in black and white. It is not naked as such but an illusion.
Your source of inspiration?
I travel a lot but for a short period. My inspiration comes from different culture and people I come across during my visit. Also matters are the people on the street whose life style inspires me a lot.
What about Middle East woman’s style priority?
I think they always look for elegant, contemporary and sophisticated look with refined details. They want everything perfect and my style is ultra feminine and luxurious.
You are known for..?
I am known for my couture, prêt-a-porter, accessories and bridal gowns. Since 2005 started my men’s clothing. It is an individually designed and crafted men’s clothing line.
Who is your idle woman?
I donot design any specific woman in mind. Though I am from Middle East my inspiration is global woman. Now a day’s style difference from that country to this country does not matter. Generally woman has common taste wherever they are from.
