BCCI felicitated Sehwag at Kotla Stadium

Before starting the 4th and final test match between South Africa and India, Board of control for cricket in India (BCCI) felicitated Sehwag at his home ground at Feroz Shah Kotla.

On October 20, 2015 Sehwag had taken retirement from international cricket. He played his debut match for India in 1999 and scored 8586 runs in test and 8273 in ODI.

Sehwag’s family and BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur was present at the ceremony. For the Sehwag’s honor triple tons, the two ends of Kotla stadium were named Viru 319 and Viru 309.

For his achievement, he was presented with a silver plaque commemorating. Before joining Haryana Sehwag had played for Delhi from 1997 to 2014.

Sehwag was thankful to his captains for showing faith in him and also thanked Rahul Dravid , Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar for helping him.
