2nd Noida International Film Festival kicks off!

 

Mr. Frankie lam, Miss Rachel Lam, they are the leading actors of Hong Kong, who believe in catering good cinema to audiences world wide.

2nd edition of Noida festival has finally kicked off today. It is organized by Miniboxoffice international, after the huge success of festival last year it has turned bigger with the addition of feature films.

 

 

The festival is the tribute to Noida where Miniboxoffice started in year 2010. Objective of the festival this year is to feature great cinema of worldwide filmmakers in a big way & at the same time providing professional networking & introducing current trends of cinema to the participants. The festival goal is to empower independent filmmakers and committed to become premium movie going event which foster the growth of independent filmmakers.

Ram Bhul Singh, Festival Director,” We are proud to hold the 2nd edition of Noida International Film Festival. This year we have also included feature films in the festival and I feel great about it. I think it would really encourage new filmmakers.”

 

I find movie average as it talks about individual experiences of life. Basically it is based on the pain and sufferings of the characters and how man is compel to continue his journey. Direction was little weak as there were so many jerks between two shots. It is produced under the banner of Artha films, whose main objective is to present some realistic films in the society.

Chuda Ek Pratha Review

Movie has a very gripping story that revolves around the character of Chanda. The movie throws light on the Chuda Partha of Rajasthan. Music of the movie add more on to the gripping story of the movie as they are placed appropriately according to the need of story. Actors of the movie have done justice to their characters. I find movie engaging as it would serve you something out of the box and portrait a reality that usually glamour world doesn’t do.

 

In recent times section 377 have stirred up quite a lot of controversies. Supreme Court restated section 377 a few months back and it created a lot of furore.

 

No Freedom to Love: Review

Addressing the issue ‘No Freedom to Love’ makes a poignant point. The film is about two male protagonist who struggle to cope to the societal pressure about being gay. Director Shiv Kumar puts light in the difficulties faced by Gay couples. The screenplay could have been a little more crisp. Running at 26 mints the film is worth a watch.

It is a collage of the hardcore corporate politics and the life of a Buddhist monk.The movie is a marriage between poetry, philosophy of life and painting in form of visual narration. The style of film making its unconventional, add the Director himself is unschooled in any particular cinematic techniques that leaves him to explore his own uniqueness.

 

This is Director, Dr Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar’s 1st Hindi Feature Film and has won threw Awards; Best Director and Best Background Music at 10th Free Spirit Film Festival at McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh and Best Story at Indian Cine Film Festival-14, Mumbai.

 

Talking about the movie, Director, Dr. Sarkar tells OWN that he treated the movie like a fusion of poetry and art. There are subtle metaphors and the cinematography also projects the mood of the characters and the story.

 

The Director is fascinated by dreams and there are two surreal sequences, the one where emerald was doused to show a thought sequence whereas the other one shows the mythical city of Shangri La.
