Happy Birthday Amit Shah as our Home Minister turns a year older today. The wishes are pouring from all across the nation. He is indeed the most important member of the Modi cabinet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and extended his wishes to the minister. He wrote, “Birthday greetings to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, a hardworking, experienced and able organizational person. While playing an important role in government, he is making a valuable contribution in making India stronger and safer.

Amit Shah turned 56 today & he was born in then Bombay. Here are a few unknown facts about this powerful leader, take a look:

1. Amit Shah comes from a very affluent family. But he always had an inclination towards politics. He had quit his PVC pipes business and joined politics full–time. National issues always drew his attention even when he was a VHP worker.

2. He is 14 years younger to Narendra Modi but he shares a very warm relation with him. He calls Prime Minister Modi, Narendra Bhai. In short, he is Modi’s ‘Bad Cop’. Both speak the same language of power and their survival instincts are also same. Amit Shah understands Narendra Modi quite well and that’s why they have now set an example in the world of Politics. One heads the government; the other one heads the party.

3. Talking about his personal life, he is extremely dependent on his wife Sonal and Son Jai. He has six sisters and he is extremely religious. Amit Shah follows Somnath ( Lord Shiva) and also takes astrology seriously.

4. There is an interesting incident which happened in the year 1990. Notably, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi were sitting in a restaurant, it was the election and Shah told Modi NarendraBhai, get ready to become PM of India. This was long before Modi even became the Chief Minister.
