Delhi right now is in the midst of the the glamour of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 and on Day 2, actress Tara Sutaria took our breath away and she is the living example of high fashion and finely crafted looks. Wearing an 18-karat gold sculpted corset, Tara made quite the showstopper (as the label Isha Jajodia, Roseroom is called), which left quite an impression, making it one of the most discussed instances in the first week of the season.
The collection, which is a part of the Whispers of Love To Myself collection of Roseroom, was the exquisite symbiosis of the old-fashioned appeal and the modern elegance. There was the gilt corset that was the center of this fashion and it was a testimony of the highest skills. The skirt that was sculptured bodice, supposedly tangled with more than 500 man-hours of tedious metallic threadwork, featured fragile floral and vine-type designs, reflecting sparkles under the runway spotlights.
A voluminous, flowing ivory lehenga was an ideal balance to the luxuriously decorated corset, flowing smoothly and very lace-detailed, in an almost dreamy, fairytale sense, making the whole ensemble perfect.
The romantic and otherworldly mood was enhanced even further by the choices of styling Tara was making. The hairstyle was classic and consisted of bounce, flowy curls that were used to flatter her face, and the makeup palette was to a minimum, emphasizing a rosy cheeks look that accentuated her natural flair.
She wore a statement pearl necklace that completed her look and gave her a sheen of traditional beauty and royalty that made up her modern princess look. The style and ease in which she struts on the ramp, even giving a kiss to her rumored boyfriend Veer Pahariya in the crowd made it more memorable, and yet very personal.
“Whispers of Love To Myself” by Isha Jajodia, presented by Roseroom, is an important tribute to evolving womanhood and self-love. The designer said, “My collection journeys from ethereal pastel tones to bold jewel tones, representing the journey of discovering my evolving self”. Tara’s golden corset outfit was an ideal representation of the collection by evoking powerful yet delicate femininity in alignment with the core message of the collection. The collection highlighted sumptuous elements of Chantilly lace, gossamer featherwork, translucent tulle, and stunning metalwork with 18K gold, iridescent enamel and mother of pearl.

Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, an initiative by the FDCI in association with Reliance Brands, began on July 23 with Rahul Mishra’s opening show featuring Tamannaah Bhatia. The couture week, which is taking place at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, will conclude with JJ Valaya’s grand finale on July 30, and will encapsulate the pinnacle of Indian haute couture. Tara Sutaria’s show-stopping performance for Roseroom would surely be at the forefront of anyone’s memory, and solidified her position as a key figure within the realm of fashion and high style. With that performance, the bar has certainly been set high for the remainder of shows.
