Tanushree Dutta Cries, Alleges Harassment At Home In Shocking Video

Bollywood tanushree dutta actress, who led the #MeToo movement in India in 2018 with accusations against Nana Patekar, returns with painful allegations, and, this time, claims to have been seriously and constantly harassed in the place where she is supposed to be safe she has always called her own. Dutta has posted an emotional video on her Instagram page in which she explains the emotional and physical pressure imposed on her by these experiences, asking people to assist her and saying that she would approach the police.

Visibly shaken Tanushree Dutta said in the emotional video, “Guys, I am being harassed at my own home.” It is making me uneasy at my own home.” She released that indeed she had approached the police and they had informed her to come to the police station in order to file a formal complaint. Dutta stated that she is unwell and the unconditional harassment that has been going on during the last four or five years have had a serious toll on her health as now she has contracted the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome because of constant stress and anxiety.

The allegations made by Dutta do not presume only emotional distress. She referred to many harassments such as loud noises and banging which she says has been daily since 2020 outside her apartments and above her ceiling and at unusual times. According to her, she started to complain to the management of her building but as time went by, she has since run out of complaints and has resorted into using headphones and also listening to Hindu mantras to keep her sanity.

To her woes, Dutta also claimed that the domestic helps she had deployed were also placed and were thieves. She shared horrifying stories of how the maids stole and in one case she even felt one of the maids added something in her water.

These incidents made it impossible for her to have anyone help her out with any of her household chores, leading to physical and mental exhaustion. “I can’t even employ maids because they put in maids at my house. I had horrible experiences with maids, coming in and then stealing and doing all sorts of things. I still have to do all my work.” she despondently shed tears.
Tanushree Dutta’s challenges since her 2018 #MeToo revelations about the entertainment industry have been difficult, with her own case against Nana Patekar remaining stagnant due to a police issued ‘B-Summary’ report in 2019, stating the evidence gathered was insufficient. Thus far, Dutta has been resolute in her position and has continued to speak uncomfortable truths about survivors struggles. Her last video was painful to view, but it serves as a reminder of the lasting consequences and struggles that will result from Standing up to power, and she hopes by initiating a formal complaint and making it public, she will finally receive the assistance she has needed badly.
