Sydney Sweeney Turns Heads with New Bath Water Soap Collaboration
Sydney Sweeney fans can now buy a soap made with a “touch” of her real bath water, thanks to a cheeky new collaboration with Dr. Squatch.
Sydney Sweeney’s Fans Can Now Buy Her Bath Water in Soap Form: Inside the Viral Dr. Squatch Collaboration
Arguably one of the most successful stunts in the celebrity branding world and in viral marketing since Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria is her new collaboration with men’s personal care brand Dr. Squatch. The collaboration, announced on Thursday morning, features a limited-edition bar of soap from Dr. Squatch called “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss,” which includes ingredients such as sand, pine bark extract, and what may arguably be the most publicity-grabbing ingredient: a “touch” of Sydney Sweeney’s actual bath water.

Born out of an offhanded joke, this viral product launch was perfectly realized. The actress had earlier appeared on an ad for Dr. Squatch, and that got fans all asking her, as in humorous or not, about her bath water. In keeping with those lofty requests, Sydney went on Instagram to announce the new soap and note, “You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad…so we kept it.”
These weirdest in the best way odd fan asks have led Sydney to lay into the absurd and partner with Dr. Squatch to deliver the type of product guaranteed to raise eyebrows and perhaps induce laughter. According to John Ludeke, senior vice president of global marketing at Dr. Squatch, there wasn’t really a playbook to the concept-but that’s the point. “We thrive on ideas that make you laugh,” Ludeke said in a press release.
Sure enough, the social media exploded in predictable fashion: tongue-in-cheek jokes, high celebratory praise-more-than-one comment said could not look away. Everything just packed in the comment sections of Instagram and the threads of Reddit under questions, takes, and truckloads of memes. The Reddit thread asked, “”Is the soap banking on the loneliness of male fans?” But not everyone sees it that way.

28-year-old Meera Gregerson defended herself to people criticizing her. “She’s been sexualized and made into a sex icon—so it’s fair for her to profit from that image too,” she said. “I don’t think it’s that different from selling a movie based on her looks.”
It is not the first celebrity bathwater to hit the brand’s disquieting waves. Many have cited Belle Delphine, one of the adult content creators who sold her bath water to fans back in 2019 and sparked similar debates on fandom, fetish, and the internet culture. Sydney’s impact looks commercially mainstream: selling in bar soap form, complete with humor and an unmistakable awareness of her self.
As Ludeke confirmed, the last thing that the brand intended to do was shock but inspire more serious discussions about men’s habits regarding personal care items. “Our hope is to create conversations about guys needing to take a closer look at their personal care products and routines,” he said. And with ingredients like pine bark extract and sand, the soap doesn’t only offer novelty; it brings a rugged, natural feel Dr. Scarch is well known for.
There has been more than a fair share of cynicism, humor, and curiosity to say the least in responses. Reddit user Chad Grauke,39, said, “What kind of a person buys this crap?” Judgmental but more analytical: “I don’t feel it is the lonely hermit as much as it is the bro that thinks he has a chance.”.

A clever marketing facet or some twisted social experiment notwithstanding, Sydney’s bathwater soap scores easily on one goal it set: attention, conversation, and buzz behind it. As the June 6 date to “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss” fast approaches-its official New Product Launch day-there’s hardly a doubt that the product will fly off the shelves, courtesy of fandom, curiosity, and utter ridiculousness.
In the ever-crowded celebrity endorsement market, Sydney Sweeney has proved that sometimes, leaning into the weird is really what makes a splash. And for her fans? Finally, now, they can say they got a piece of her bath water – soap included.
