Swara Bhaskar announced her wedding with Fahad Zihar Ahmad out of the blue. The two had an interfaith marriage and chose the Special Marriage Act of 1954 to solemnize their vows.
Giving applaud to this special law, Swara wrote on Twitter, “Three cheers for the #SpecialMarriageAct (despite notice period, etc.) At least it exists and gives love a chance. The right to love, choose your life partner, marry, and the right to the agency should not be a privilege”.
Bollywood has always embraced all kinds of marriages despite their nature, religion, caste or gender. Before Swara- Fahad, many celebrities married under this Special Marriage Act of 1954.
