Sid’s first film was not meant to be SOTY
Sidharth Malhotra began his career as a model and eventually came on board as an assistant director. He worked as an assistant director in Dostana and then in my name is Khan.
Student of the year was never meant to be Sid’s first film.
Sid was supposed to be launched in Priyanka Chopra’s starrer ‘Fashion’. But due to certain obligations related to his contract, he could not go ahead with it. He was a second runner-up in two modelling events; the banner pageant and cat class Mega Model.
He is a pet lover

Sid, who is known for his love of animals, had a deep bond with his pet Oscar. It remained an integral part of his life for more than a decade until it passed away in February 2022. The actor has also worked with an NGO to raise dog awareness.
He is fond of Rugby
Rugby and basketball are some of his favourite outdoor sports. He had played for the Delhi hurricanes rugby team.
Sid’s love for art
