From Gridiron to Wrestling Royalty

Born on May 25, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida, Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoa’i brings his international fame as Roman Reigns. By using this name, the mark has to be placed in 2025, which will be his 40th birthday. Besides fighting and wrestling, Reigns used to play football before entering the ring. He was also a defensive tackle in Georgia Tech and did not join the Minnesota Vikings or Jacksonville Jaguars for too long. However, destiny had some other plans for him.

Being part of the Anoa’i family, a dynasty in professional wrestling, Reigns was born with the bloodline of a wrestler. His father, Sika Anoa’i, was one-half of the legendary Wild Samoans tag team, and his cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is a global entertainment icon.

The Shield and Meteoric Rise

Roman Reigns made a striking WWE debut on November 18, 2012, as a member of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. As time passed, they developed into a real powerful trio known particularly for their ability to perform tactical assaults and their unity. But Reigns also stood out with his strength and charisma, which were eventually enough for him to start on a solo career.
