Radhika Merchant , Shloka, Isha Dazzle In Ethnic Glam At Swadesh Launch
The ladies of the Ambani family, Radhika Merchant, Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani attended the inauguration of the new Swadesh store in Mumbai in a splendid and beautiful show of ethnic glamour. The store with a traditional pooja commemorating the rich artisanal heritage of India was inaugurated with the family being keen on championing Indian art an craftsmanship.
Radhika Merchant as the daughter in law to soon be youngest of the Ambani house, was in a bright orange silk saree. The saree was adorned with wide golden borders which flowed freely over her shoulder giving a retro look. She completed her outfit with a matching blouse and where she also wore a beautiful diamond embellished choker necklace that had green emeralds in it and sparkly extra large diamond earrings and her mangalsutra. Her dewy makeup and half-updo with a middle part gave her the spectacular appearance.

As usual, Isha Ambani, the trendsetter, chose a bold colored bandhani saree in red. She wore a wide, detailed golden frame, and, to complement the look, wore a golden-decorated blouse that gave the whole outfit some holiday-esque appeal. In order to accessorize her conventional outfit, Isha wore a very thick traditional necklace and a corresponding pair of earrings. Her make-up was done in a low-key fashion so that the natural beauty could present itself and her hair was not tied up but left loose which gave an easily elegant impression.
Shloka Mehta, the eldest daughter-in-law, decided not to follow the traditional pattern of six yards and wore a chic ethnic suit instead. The suit is comprised of the design shown, with multi-coloured heavy embroidery on a light beige background, creating a sophisticated contrast. She wore matching palazzo pants with the suit and draped an orange silk dupatta, which provided some nice colour to her look. Her look was complete with statement earrings, nude make up, and loose hair styled with a middle parting.
The mother of the house, Nita Ambani, also made a nice statement in a handwoven gharchola saree (ugh). This indicated to me Nita Ambani’s deep appreciation for traditional Indian textiles and Indian artisans. She wore a light pink Madurai cotton saree that was woven over ten months. She completed this look with important family heirloom jewellery items, including a heavy arm chain that has been passed on to every first born daughter.
When the Swadesh store launched Eros, Mumbai on July 25, 2025, there was a beautiful form of celebration marking the promotion of Indian artisanal textiles, as this would serve as an excellent platform, while also being a dazzling spectacle of Indian traditional fashion, best demonstrated by the Ambani women. They presence alone, immediately oozed sophistication, with an importance in being deeply identifiable to Indian culture and heritage. If there was ever a clear message on ethnic wear, and the beauty and versatility of traditional fashion, it was established here.
