Before Deepika Padukone, the OG Dimple queen was Preity Zinta. However, other factors included her in the A-list celebrity. From owning a stand against the underworld to giving a befitting reply to fake mongers, Preity woman has repeatedly proved that she slays on-screen and savage off-screen.
How did Preity rise to fame?
Preity Zinta was born on 31st January and was an army brat. She was from a well-to-do family, but life was complicated. At 13, she lost her dad, and her mom got severely injured in an accident. Preity knows very well that she has to start earning early. Therefore, after attaining a degree in criminal physiology, Zinta tried her luck in modelling. She also got a chocolate commercial which aided her in building connections in Bollywood.

At a Bollywood party, she got introduced to Shekhar Kapoor, who recognised acting talent in Preity. He even offered her a role in his film, but unfortunately, the film got cancelled. However, Kapoor did not return his words and recommended her to Director Mani Ratnam, who was finding a face for ‘Dil Se.’ Her screen presence was only 20 minutes long, but her impact on the audience was much more significant.
In 1998, Preity debuted as a female lead at 23 in the film Soldier. Although she was a newcomer, she was too picky while taking up the role.

When Preity took Panga with the underworld
In that era, many celebrities received phone calls from the underworld demanding extortion money. Preity Zinta was one of the A-list celebrities among those. But at least they knew that intimidating her was hard. She filed a case against those calls, and many other actors also gathered the courage to do the same. However, no other “so-called” Bollywood hero/heroine moves except Zinta moved to court to testify about the statement. It was only Priety Zinta who dared to uphold her views.

When Ness Slapped Preity at a party
Preity admitted her relationship with Ness Wadia in 2005. But Wadia’s family did not like Preity much and went on insulting her. However, in 2008 they became business partners from lovers as they became co-owners of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab. In 2016, she found love across the border, married Gene Goodenough, and moved to Los Angles. However, Preity has her IPL team, so she frequently visits India during the season.
