A: I firmly believe that performance should be the focal point for actors. Unfortunately, nowadays, many actors prioritize their looks over their scenes. My advice is to concentrate on your core work as an actor. Quality work is a magnet for attracting more opportunities.

Q: Your wife, Shweta Gautam, is also an actor. How do you manage your professional lives while being in the same industry?

A: Shweta and I handle our professional lives individually, even though we share the same profession. She predominantly takes on positive characters, while my specialization lies in portraying negative roles. This approach helps us maintain a healthy balance between our careers and personal lives.

Q: Do you collaborate with your wife in terms of character preparation?

A: Shweta prepares her auditions independently, but there are times when I seek her advice on my character preparation. Her insights and perspectives are invaluable, and our collaboration enhances our creative process.

Q: You’ve played various negative characters. How is your current character different from your previous roles?

A: I take pride in not repeating characters and continuously exploring new aspects of negativity. Each portrayal comes with variations in appearance, tone, and strength, making every character unique and distinct.

Q: Maintaining energy during long shoots can be challenging. How do you handle it during 12-hour shoots?

A: Typically, I work for 12 hours, and I manage my energy both at home and on the set. In urgent situations, I might extend my working hours by a couple of hours.

Q: Can you tell us about your upcoming projects?

A: Currently, I’m fully invested in “Baazi Ishq Ki” on Dangal. I prefer focusing on one show at a time, although I receive several offers regularly.

A: My bond with Yash Patnaik goes beyond being just a producer; it’s more like a brotherly connection. This association began with “Sadda Haq” and has grown stronger over the past ten years, reflecting our shared journey and understanding.
