The awards ceremony, held in 2024, saw two films, “Animal” and “12th Fail,” dominate the night, showcasing the diversity and excellence gift within global Bollywood.

“Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, emerged as a major pressure on the Filmfare Awards, securing more than one accolade. The film, known for its gripping narrative and stellar performances, bagged the distinguished Best Film award, reaffirming its effect on both critics and audiences. Ranbir Kapoor, the lead actor in “Animal,” also obtained the Best Actor In a Leading Role trophy, highlighting his super portrayal of a complicated individual.

Meanwhile, “Twelfth Fail,” a coming-of-age drama, resonated with the target audience and the Filmfare jury alike. The movie, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, captured the nuances of formative years and the struggles of younger individuals in modern society. The award for the best film was won by the movie ‘12 Fail. 

12thFail” secured the Best Director award for Vidhu Vinos Chopra, a testimony to his storytelling prowess and potential to create compelling narratives.

The Best Actress in a Leading Role class witnessed fierce competition among talented leading women, but it turned into Alia Bhatt who took home the coveted trophy for her exquisite overall performance in a show. Alia Bhatt’s portrayal of a challenging and entertaining character in “Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Khani ” brought the award to her, solidifying her reputation as one of the industry’s best actors.

The supporting award category celebrated the intensity of skills within the movie enterprise. Vicky Kaushal’s challenging role in “Dunki” earned him the Best Supporting Actor award, whilst Shabana Azmi’s powerful performance in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” secured her the Best Supporting Actress trophy. These accolades underscored the significance of strong helping roles in elevating the general cinematic experience.
