Washington DC: Josephine Chaplin, the daughter of comedy legend Charlie Chaplin and Oona O’Neill, passed away at the age of 74. According to Variety, she died in Paris on July 13, as confirmed by her family. Born on March 28, 1949, in Santa Monica, California, Josephine began her acting career at a young age, appearing in her father’s film “Limelight” in 1952.

Josephine’s Film Career:

Throughout her career, Josephine starred in several films. In 1972, she appeared in Pier Paolo Pasolini’s acclaimed movie “The Canterbury Tales” and Richard Balducci’s “L’odeur des fauves.” The same year, she acted alongside Laurence Harvey in Menahem Golan’s drama “Escape to the Sun,” which depicted a group of people trying to escape the Soviet Union.

1984 Canadian Drama:

In 1984, she played a role in the Canadian drama “The Bay Boy,” which also marked the beginning of Kiefer Sutherland’s acting career. Additionally, in 1988, she portrayed Hadley Richardson in the television mini-series “Hemingway,” starring opposite Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway.

Josephine Chaplin is survived by her three sons – Charlie, Arthur, and Julien Ronet – as well as her siblings Michael, Geraldine, Victoria, Jane, Annette, Eugene, and Christopher.

Her work in the film industry and contributions to various projects have left a lasting impact on the world of cinema.
