With more than 42 years of experience in the industry, he has delivered some of the best performances that have stayed with the audiences and fans. On his 64th birthday, let us look at some of Sanjay Dutt’s best performances. 

  1. Sajaan in 1991

The Bollywood romantic drama with Dutt,  Madhuri Dixit, and Salman Khan in the lead roles was the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 1991. Dutt was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his acting in the movie.

2. Khalnayak in 1993

Subhash Ghai’s movie Khalnayak was a major milestone in Dutt’s life as his acting became etched in everyone’s heart. The song ‘Naayak nahi khalnayak hu mai’ is still one of the most popular songs in Bollywood. 

3. Vaastav: The Reality in 1999

The movie marked the directorial debut of Mahesh Manjrekar and went on to become a super hit. Dutt won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for this movie where he played the role of a simple man who becomes a gangster. 

4. Munna Bhai Series

Both Munna Bhai M.B.B.S in 2002 and Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006 were fantastic movies, thanks to the direction of Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Dutt’s acting. Dutt played the lead role in the movie and was loved by all as he delivered some heartwarming performances. 

5. Agneepath in 2012

The role of Kancha Cheena was portrayed so magnificently by Dutt that he left the audience in awe of him and his acting. He portrayed wickedness and viciousness very strongly that you could feel the depth of his emotions. 

6. K.G.F: Chapter 2 

Adheera, the villain of KGF was not only one of the best roles of Dutt, but the fact that he played it after his cancer recovery makes it even more special.
