If you have watched these movies, watch them again because they are worth it

We know the lockdown has given you ample amount of time with your family. Use this time to talk about everything you often used to complain to boss, that you are not getting family time. However, sometimes we can run out of ideas about what to talk. These are the times when Bollywood comes to the rescue.

You can watch Hindi movies because seriously how many of our parents want to see Hollywood movies. But there is a problem, we are not in the 90s and 2000s, when industry gave some memorable family movies. The trend of family movies have been on a declining trend, thanks but no-thanks to action-packed masala movies and adult comedies. You obviously don’t want to get awkward at scenes and go to the kitchen to grab water, so we are suggesting you 5 Bollywood movies to watch with family during the lockdown.

1. Taare Zameen Par

You have watched this movie. Haven’t you? If any chance, you or your family hasn’t watched this movie, this is time to watch this incredible movie. Taare Zameen Par is about a dyslexic young boy, who is often demeaned and tagged dumb for not performing well in academics. He gets noticed by a new art teacher, played by Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan himself, who also has directed the movie.

2. Munna Bhai series

Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Munna Bhai MBBS are one of the best family movies ever made. Munna Bhai is a kind-hearted goon who wishes to take admission in a medical college. Director of the movie, Raju Kumar Hirani introduced us to Munna Bhai and Combination in this movie and continued their journey in the second movie when Munna Bhai adopts the Gandhigiri.

3. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

However, there are other Shah Rukh Khan movies like Kal Ho Na Ho and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham better suited as family movies but the classic DDLJ is what you should go for. Maybe your dad will let you go to your Raj or maybe your parents will allow you to marry Simran.

4. Khosla Ka Ghosla

The name of this movie might seem weird for you but trust me the movie is not. Khosla Ka Ghosla did wonderful business without big stars and that says it all about the content of the movie. The movie has Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in lead roles and as rivals. It went on to win the Best Feature Films, National Award.

5. Do Dooni Char

It is a the light-hearted story of a middle-class family who dreams of buying a car amidst the inflationary times.  The movie is a must-watch as it represents the typical urban Indian middle- class family. The pair of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh returned to the big screen after a long in this movie.

While these movies are a must-watch, we would also want to name some honourable mentions which couldn’t make it into the list. English Vinglish, Iqbal, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Vivah, Jab We Met, Athiti Tum Kab Jaoge, Lagaan, and Tanu weds Manu could be other options.
