Looking for films to watch this month? Here is the April 2021 Movies Calendar for you


Theaters have started to open and we know you have been missing watching films, in multiplexes, on big screens, with loads of popcorns and a great soft drink in your hand, with your loved ones. And while you do so, we don’t want you to just get up and go for any random film. We want you to know about all the options that you have before you decide which one to go for. So, here is the April 2021 Movies Calendar for you to decide which films you can watch this month.

2nd April – Koi Jaane Na – In Cinemas

A heartbroken writer who is going through his writer’s block goes to a remote hill station and discovers a copycat serial killer who has magically come alive and is murdering everyone around him. The film casts a few semi-known actors including Kunal Kapoor, Amyra Dastur, Karim Hajee, Vidya Malwade, and others. The film will be coming to your nearest multiplexes on 2nd April.

2nd April – Flight – In Cinemas

An action thriller film by Suraj Joshi, Flight is a film starring Mohit Chddha as the lead. The film is about the journey of Ranveer Malhotra, who faces a deadly obstacle on the plane, against all the odds. The film has been one of the most-awaited and after multiple release dates announced earlier, it is finally coming in Cinemas on 2nd April.

8th April – The Big Bull – Disney Hotstar

Well, after a fantastic reaction of the audience towards Scam 1992, many people have gotten to know the story of Harshad Mehta, and we can say that the audience will perhaps be pretty interested in watching ‘The Big Bull’ which is a film based on the Harshad Mehta Scam. In fact, the name of the film is the title given to Harshad at his peak. The film will only have its OTT release on Disney Hotstar.

16th April – 99 Songs – In Cinemas

A musical romance film by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, and co-written and produced by A. R. Rahman. The film is a story about art and self-discovery, of a singer who wants to be a successful composer and is struggling to be one.

16th April – Babloo Bachelor – In Cinemas

As the name suggests, Babloo is a bachelor, and he is looking for a life partner. In his quest, he meets Tajasri Pradhan and decides to get married to her but events don’t turn out in place, and what happens next is what the movie is about. The film will come to cinemas from 16h of April.

16th April – Aa Bhi Ja O Piya – In Cinemas and on ZEE Plex

This film too will be in your nearest cinemas, in parallel to Babloo Bachelor. Aa Bhi Ja O Piya, as the name suggests, it will be a sweet little love story. It is directed by Rajesh Harivansh Mishra and written by Sk Sachin. The cast includes Abhijeet Lahiri, Richa Kalra, and Dev Sharma in the lead.

23rd April – Thalaivi – In Cinemas

One of the most anticipated films of the month will be, without any doubt, Thalaivi. Kangana Ranaut, one of the most celebrated yet controversial actresses because of her social and political interests is now coming with a banger, that is a political drama. It is a biographical film about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, who served as a CM of Tamil Nadu six times.

30th April – Sooryavanshi – In Cinemas

After a long time, we will be seeing Akshay Kumar on the screens and Sooryanshi will be yet another big release of April and of the year. It will premier in cinemas on 30th April and will be streaming on Netflix post the offline release.

30th April – The Disciple – Netflix

Well, we have a pure art film on the list, by none other than Chaitanya Tamhane. This film was screened and won at the Toronto International Film Festival and has been much awaited since then. Earlier, the director had made ‘Court’ which is yet another masterpiece, and hence, expectations from this film are even higher.
