Anushka Sharma’s Chakda Xpress Shelved? Dibyendu Bhattacharya’s Exclusive Revelation Sparks Debate

After a long wait, Anushka Sharma will make her comeback as a star of a new film titled, Chakda Xpress, which is supposed to be based on the life of Indian cricketer, Jhulan Goswami, yet this film still remains under a shroud of doubt as even the cast members do not have a clue about the proceedings. Even though the filming was finished years back, there is no sign of the release of the biographical sports drama film, which gives credence to the idea that the film may have been sacked. To compound the confusion, one of the veteran actors Dibyendu Bhattacharya who plays prime role in the movie recently confessed his bewilderment of the fate of the movie in an exclusive interview.

Waiting to see Release, Extolling Performance

Bhattacharya wrote that he was eager to see the film, Chakda Xpress, released and he termed it a “fantastic film” with Anushka Sharma in an outstanding role that was her best so far. He has seen the unpolished version of the movie at the home of Prosit Roy who is directing the film and this too makes him become confident of the quality of the work. I just don t know how impatient I am waiting till the release of the film because it is a terrific film.

Bhattacharya shared. I always tell them women will never forget to walk with God and talk with God. I saw it in the home of Prosit [director Prosit Roy]. Well, I says to him I was holding it, says, It is not coming out, but just show me it since you got it. It is not a film that is done, that it has all been done, but I saw it and it is so beautiful” he said. He also praised the performance of Anushka as Jhulan Goswami, by saying, that, it is the finest work done by Anushka Sharma so far. Why they are not putting it out I do not know. It is absolutely an incredibly great movie.”

The Unresolved Question: Shelved or Delayed?

The million-dollar question still remains: is “Chakda Xpress” shelved or simply delayed Indefinitely? Bhattacharya said he does not have any answer. “I have no idea,” he answered quite frankly when he was asked the question. “If I had any information regarding the film, I would tell you first.

Reports last year suggested a potential ending to Clean Slate Filmz’s partnership with Netflix, which could be a key factor in the film’s indefinite delay. There were also rumors about Clean Slate potentially repurchasing the film from Netflix to pursue other release options, but neither side has confirmed the development.

The Human Cost of Delays-

Beyond the financial aspects, Bhattacharya also mentioned the human cost and emotional toll for everyone involved in a film when subject to delays. “As an actor, I really want the film to see the light of day,” he said. “A lot of effort goes into making a film. The length and emotions from the time the research begins to the day of the final print is such a long process. When you consider the number of people involved, the ambitions tied to one film, many families depend on the money earned through it – the technicians, the daily wage workers, etc.
