Actress Ankita Lokhande is celebrating her birthday today with her beau Vicky Jain. She is one of the most popular television stars. She made her TV debut with the reality show Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj in 2004. But after the drama series, Pavitra Rishta gave her a household name.
However, her love affair and break-up with the late actor Shushat Singh.
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she bared her heart on breaking up with Sushant, endless trolling on social media, and her career choices. During the conversation, she shared her side of the story and made some shocking revelations.

Ankita revealed that she was offered many big banner films but turned them down. Ankita Lokhande became a household name with Pavitra Rishta and was the first choice for SRK’s Happy New Year. Still, later, the role was played by Deepika Padukone. Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached her for Bajirao Mastani, but she refused to do the film.
Not only this, she said No to Sultan and Badlapur back then. During the conversation, Ankita revealed the reason behind it and said she was trying to build a man. She did that, and she has no regrets about rejecting the offers. Back then, Sushant and Ankita were dating each other. She wanted to get married to Sushant and start a family. Later, Ankita made her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika. She was last seen in Baaghi 3 and is yet to see in Swatantra Veer Savarkar.

Putting rest to all speculations about their alleged break up, Ankita revealed Sushant chose his career and moved on. She said her break-up affected her personal and professional life. For two and a half years, she was dealing with many things. Ankita further added, “People come and say, You left Sushant. How do you know it? Nobody knows my part. I am not blaming anyone here, but Sushant made his choice, and I respected his decision.” Ankita also admitted that, at times, her honesty has backfired on her.
She talked about her Casting Couch experience
During the candid conversation, Ankita also spoke about her casting couch experience. She revealed that she faced it two times in her life. She said, “I am strong, and people often get intimidated by me. But it was a bad experience, and I wanted to give it back to that person. I walked out of the project.”

But when they dragged my parents, I thought it was time to break the silence. Nobody knows what I went through in 2016 and 2020. Both were the most challenging years of my life.” She went on to preach to people the importance of self–love.
Ankita admitted that she learnt balance from her beau Vicky Jain. She urged all the young people to value themselves. Ankita revealed that over the years, she realized that love is essential, but one should not forget his or her worth. She preached to practice self–love and beautifully explained that if you can’t love yourself, how will you love others?
Ankita Lokhande dated Sushant Singh Rajput for 7 years, and both were planning to tie the knot in December 2016. But destiny had other plans. After Sushant’s untimely demise, she stood like a rock with his family and became a strong person! She is indeed an inspiration.
